Gay passed away on March 7, 2021. She was survived by daughter Rachel Laughlin; sister Joan (Radovan) Veliman. Gay was a devoted member of Monfort Heights United Methodist Church and a graduate of the University of Cincinnati. Gay was a member of the Honor Society (11-12) serving as Secretary in her Senior year, Student Council (12) also serving as Secretary her Senior year; Thespians (10-12) serving as Secretary/Treasurer (11) and President her Senior year, Aforlang (10-12) serving as Vice President her Senior year, F.T.A. (10-12) serving as Treasurer (10), Masque and Mime (10-12) serving as Secretary (11) and Treasurer (12), Ensemble (12), Senior Choir (11) Girls Choir (10), Red Cross (11), Junior Council on World Affairs (10-12). She also served as an Ivy Arch Girl (11), was in the cast of the productions: Pygmalion (10), Bells are Ringing (10), Bell Book and Candle (11) and South Pacific (11)
